Storytime

I'm still not completely done with the "to do list." It will get done when it gets done. However slow that may be. I was able to get clothes washed and folded yesterday, just not put away. And the LR/Kitchen picked up along with Sharking the floors today.

Storytime started back up the library today. Spice was so excited to go with her big sister. Sugar got a nice surprise when we checked in, one her friends for PreK was there as well. We met some new friends there too. A guy DH worked with before we had kids has moved back into the area. They have children the same ages as our 2 and they dont' live very far from us.

Well we are about to settle in to watch a movie and enjoy some family time.

curtains

So here are the first set of curtains from the fabric that I bought.
I'd like to be able to take the credit for making them
but I can't.
I don't sew that well.
My friend "helped" me which really means she did all the work.
I have to have a pattern when I sew something.
These she copied from the valances I already had but made them longer.
I love how simple they are and that the ribbon gave them just enough to make them pretty
without being overly foofy.

library.........

We haven't been doing a lot. We have T again this week. Yesterday the three of them just about drove me mad with all the whining. That's one of my pet peeves, WHINING. Have I ever told ya'll I love nap time? Especially yesterday only it wasn't long enough.

Anyway we went to the library this morning for storytime. It was the first preschool story time Aynslee has ever been to. The parents leave them and they go in with a few of the ladies that work there. I was nervous but she was with T so that helped. They both L.O.V.E.D it. Josh and I were able to get some books for ourselves. And a few movies for the girls.

So we are leaving on vacation in a few days, I have yet to back a single thing for it. I have a few things set aside that need to go but not a single piece of clothing. I might feel motivated to get some done later today but I doubt it. I found myself some work out videos from the library so I am anxious to see how they are. That's what naptime will be for today. Some much needed mommy work out time, I didn't accomplish my goal to loss a few pounds before vacation this year which is scary. I can't afford anymore added pounds. Oh, well. I try to get that done when we come home from vacation.

Sorry for the boringness of this post but really nothing that exciting. Except I finally joined facebook and found a few old friends. Super Cool!

We braved the mall!

So me and a friend went to the mall this morning. She had a few things left to get on her shopping list and I had to return a few things and pick up an ornament at Things Remembed. My friend babysits for a family in our ward just one little baby boy that is 4 months old. Aynslee loves him.

Anyway so it was us and the 3 kiddies. They all did great. She introduced me to a new store, Aeropostale. Ok, so it might not be new to you but it is to me since I never go to the mall to shop at adult stores since having kids. I am always in the kids stores. I got a pair of jeans for $11. including tax. They also give a military discount which is always nice. Even though we live in a military town most stores don't do that.

I was disappointed in the selections of ornaments that Things Remembered had this year. We started a tradition, we get an ornament from there every year. Well this year we won't have one because they just weren't many to choose from and they weren't as pretty as they have been in years passed. But I have an idea for our ornament this year I just have to find it.

We packed our own lunches to save money and eat healthier. But I did get Aynslee some little M&M cookies because she ate all of her sandwich I packed and was a good girl the entire time.

I picked up another Christmas themed book from the book store to add to our collection. (now we have 3 total, it's a start right) I also got something for Josh. I have one more thing in mind for him and I am done. We aren't doing alot this year. Just because it's more for the kids and we'd rather spend what we would spend on each other on them.

Keep your eyes out for new pictures of the girls on my sidebar. I'll be scanning them and putting them up soon. They came out so good.

Until next time................

Check it out

My best friend from back home. She is more like a sister to me just started her blog. Go check it out it's in my link section, Puttin Down Roots. Cute name too.

I have been super busy this week. I spent this morning packing for our trip this weekend and getting ahead on laundry. I also managed to clean the kitchen. I need to pick up the guest room for our friend that is staying with Rory this weekend. I'd also like to mop the kitchen floor while Aynslee is napping.

We made a quick trip to Target to pick up a gift and a new portable DVD player. I am going to sell my single one. I got a inexpensive double screen one so both girls can be kept busy. Aynslee does so much better riding if she is watching a movie. So do we since it keeps her from throwing tantrums. LOL!

Ok, so I have more things to get done.

Until next time..............

Zoo

I survived my first trip to the Zoo with the girls. IT did help that we met a friend and her daughter there. Not sure if I could have made it through without a little help. Aynslee just loves her friend J they get along and play so well together. And J loves Avery and is so sweet to her.

We had a nasty ride home. The rain came pouring down on us after leaving. At one point I had to drive 35 mph with flashers on. I normally would have pulled over but I figured I'd be a sitting target then.

Both girls went to bed early tonight, Aynslee missed her nap. I think she did fall asleep on the ride home but was awake when I pulled off the interstate. Aynslee refused to fold her arms to say prayers tonight. Which resulted in no story before bed. Aren't we terrible parents? She was throwing one of her tantrums I figured the threats of no story weren't working so I'd better following through.

I am off to get a much needed shower.

Until next time....................
