Toothless!

We were sitting in the living room this afternoon and I hear Sugar say,
"I got it!"
She promptly jumped up and ran to the mirror.

That has to be the best toothless smile I've ever seen!

More Deals

I made a stop at the mall this morning after I was done with an appointment. I had ordered Sugar some jeans online but they were to big. This store offers an instore return instead of mailing them back. It's accross from Old Navy so I decided to pop in and see if they had any good sales. All clearance was an additional 40% off! I was able to find Sugar 2 pairs of pants and a cute 3/4 length sleeved shirt all for $10.24. I just hope the pants fit her. She's now in a size 5 regular, 5T's are to small and size 6's are way to big. I realized the other day after digging some clothes out from last year that a certain pair of Gap jeans I had gotten her at a second hand store were a 5 regular. At the time I bought them for her they swallowed her up they were so big, but now they are a perfect fit! Seeing that the cheapest I can get a pair of Gap jeans for her is $19.50, I believe I won't be getting her any more unless they are on sale or at a second hand store. Same thing with the Old Navy jeans. We have plenty of the next size for her since I had found some jeans at Target back in June for $2.50 each. I bought 4 pairs of size 6's and 4 pairs of size 7.

Finding super deals makes me Happy!

Solution

Sugar is growing so fast.
She started to outgrow her pajama's,
as I was looking for new ones I noticed how expensive
they are in her size.
A few months ago I had gotten some material and a pattern for
pajama bottoms.
After making the first pair and realizing how easy it was,
a solution came to me.
I would make her pj's.
Ballerina
Angelina Ballerina

Funky flowers
This pattern is so simple.
I added some left over ric rack to the bottom.
{I think it's really cute. }
For tops I got her a pack of white boy t-shirts,
6 shirts for $5. and change.

JoAnn's had a great sale last weekend on flannel.
$2.79 a yard.
I only need a yard for one pair.
We picked up 3 yards.
I just need to get sewing.

Change.....it's part of life.

A lot of people don't handle change well but life is always changing, day to day, minute to minute. Part of change is growing up, something that I thought I'd done, but I guess at 30 I still have some of that to do.

I've had to face things in the last 10 months I didn't think I'd ever have to, deployments do that to you. Make you stop and think about your life what's really important and what you cherish most.

One of those things was something about myself that I kept hidden even from me. My ability to deal with anything that I felt was unpleasant was to bury it. Bury it so far that I had forgotten why I was sad, or angry to begin with, now I'm have to unbury all that stuff and deal with it. It's not fun. But if this is what it takes to be a better, wife, mom and friend, then I'll do what has to be done.

Just writing this post was really hard, I don't want people to know that whatever picture I put up in front of you isn't real. That's how I've looked at my life for so long that what you see on the outside isn't what's on the inside.

But it's time for me to grow up and deal..............

with

the good,

the bad,

and

the ugly.

And hope that by me admiting I need to talk to someone can help someone else get the courage to do the same thing.

bye, bye minkmink

It finally happened.
We have said goodbye to her favorite pal.
It was a lot easier than I thought it would be.
I just didn't give it to her.
She only cried the first night and after that hasn't asked for it.
It was the last baby thing she had,
she really is no longer a baby.

Their first sleep over....

I just about got everything on my "to do" list done for the week. The house is fairly decent. The sewing projects done, the knitting is almost finished. But the books, I wasn't able to get that one book finished. Oh, well.

Josh flies in at midnight tonight. The girls are staying with Sister Crunk (Avery's name for her). It's the first time they have ever spent the night with anyone while I know they will be perfectly fine I am nervous leaving them. But with Josh's flight coming in so late I didn't think it was a good idea to drag them out of bed to go to the airport then try to get them back to sleep after the excitment of seeing daddy. Aynslee is really excited about her sleep over. I need to double check their over night bag and get their pillows and blankets ready to go.

It's sure to be a busy weekend so I'll post pictures etc. later.
