Avery

My little Avery is very sick. She woke up last night around 11:00pm throwing up. She had a fever before bedtime but was acting normal. I tried to give her some motrin and tylenol but she screamed and refused to take it this was before bed. After I cleaned her up I put her to bed in my room in the toddler bed with a bowl and some gatorade. I woke up around five this morning and felt her head which felt very hot. I decided to try to give her some more medicine. That sent her into a gagging and throw up episode. Her temp was 102.1, I gave her another bath. Then tried to give her more medicine this time trying to get her to drink it out of the cup. She refused.

We went back to bed and she slept until 8:00am. Right now she is eating a popcisle.

So what do you do when your child won't take the fever reducing medicine?

bye, bye minkmink

It finally happened.
We have said goodbye to her favorite pal.
It was a lot easier than I thought it would be.
I just didn't give it to her.
She only cried the first night and after that hasn't asked for it.
It was the last baby thing she had,
she really is no longer a baby.

Reviews: Blueberry Minky

The first time I saw these diapers at Kelly's Closet I wanted to try them. Especially after reading all the great reviews on them. But they were pricey. That was the only draw back for me. However; my sweet husband asked when I was reviewing new diaper options which diapers got the most consistent good reviews. Then his response was try at least one and see how you like it. With cloth diapering I am always mindful of the fact that even if I don't like a diaper someone else might and will be willing to purchase it from me in gently used or excellent used condition.
SO I finally took the plunge and purchased the Blueberry Minky One size diaper with snaps. Even though the hook and loop diapers are extremely easy to get off and on I am fully aware of the fact that the snaps last longer and when spending that much money on one diaper I knew I better make the purchase worth it. This diaper is so luxurious and soft, very trim fitting. We haven't worn it for longer than 2-3 hours but so far no leaks and the one of a kind hemp terry insert seems to be super absorbent.

Look at this face! She loves her new diaper and mommy loves the color combination and so soft cover. This diaper was definitely worth the money. We give it our thumbs up approval.

Avery got this cottage for her birthday with some money she had saved up. The girls love it!

This is one of our new Happy Heiny's One Size diaper in cow print. This print is so stinky cute! Notice she has accessorized it with her shoes. That girls loves her shoes!

Aynslee loves having her picture taken.
Avery and her dirty face.
It's rare for it to be clean, isn't that sad.

Happy 2nd Birthday, Avery!

Time really does fly the older you get, I will probably say this
every year you have a birthday but I just can't believe it's already your birthday.
This year has been a challenge for us as we get to know you,
you are a very opinionated little girl.
And you let everyone know what you want or what you don't like.

With all of the challenges you still light up a room with that smile,
and your ever so sweet little personality.
The one thing I will always remember about this age is that
you usually are wearing some sort of dress up shoe.
You love shoes!
Unlike your sister you love baby dolls.
I like to watch you play with them.
You will sit down in your little chair and rock your baby.
Then gently lay the baby down in her bed.
You love princesses!
Cinderella is your favorite.
You ask to watch the Rella movie several times throughout the day.
For some reason you love dirt, digging in it, eating it,
anything to do with it you like it.
I guess that's the best part of being a girl you can love dirt and play with baby dolls.

For all the challenges you have thrown our way, I wouldn't change anything.
You are my baby, and daddy's little pumpkin.
We love our sweet girl.
I look so forward to everyday I get to spend with you.
Hearing your sweet laugh and seeing you discover new things.
It brings so much joy to watch you discover every new and exciting thing.
I am beyond blessed to be your mama.
I love you my sweet girl.
love,
mommy

another perfect photo shoot

While we were visiting in Mississippi last week, we went out to the land that Josh's parents own.
There was this spot of rye grass, as soon as I saw it I knew it was the perfect spot to catch a few pictures of the girls.
The lighting was just right.
I was so thrilled at what I capture.
These are only a few and the ones of Avery I am saving for her birthday post.
Hope you enjoy them!

Avery's Cake

My sister in law made this cake for Avery.
I told her Cinderella, I had no idea she was this good.
It turned out great!
And it tasted just as good.

Baby it's cold outside!

I woke up this morning to 27 degrees. That's cold for the sunshine state. But I do like it, only I wish it would have been 27 degrees on Christmas day, somehow upper 70's doesn't feel very Christmasy to me.

It's been another crazy week here. I have been trying to get my house picked up since we will have company tomorrow. Only that it looks like after I pick up that I never did a thing. I don't have much left to do today, bathrooms and just a little decluttering.

We are headed to the library this morning for Storytime. It's been a while since we went. I just hope Avery is pleasant today. Because yesterday in the grocery store she was a NIGHTMARE, she screamed and cried the entire time. Which lead me to forgetting about half of what was on my list so now I have to make another run to the store after the library since one of the things I forgot was a main ingredient for dinner tomorrow night.

Josh took the chief's exam today. I am so ready for all of this to be done with, he has taken it for the last 3 years with no results. I guess for me the most frusterating thing is that he passes the exam but hasn't been selected for chief. We have 8 months waiting to find out, add in picking orders and it makes things complicated, very stressful.

We also just found out that there will be no more coast to coast moves due to funding. That should make ordering picking for the next duty station a long easier for Josh.

That's the lastest at our house. Have a great day!
