So............
I am in the market for a new car seat for Avery. Several months ago I purchased a Graco Nautilus for Aynslee. I did a lot of research before the purchase to find the best value for what I wanted this fit all my requirements. I purchased the seat at Wal-Mart it was cheaper than any other store.
Well, the seat Avery is currently using isn't working anymore. She is getting to tall and her head is over the top by an inch.
I went online this morning to make sure the Wal-Mart near us had it in stock. After picking up a package at the post office (another irritating story) we stopped by to pick one up. I get up to the front of the store it rings up for $30. more than the price shown online. I told the cashier that can't be right. He was going to do a price override but needed a CSM to finish the transaction. The CSM comes over and rudely tells me that they will not price match from the Internet even if it's their own store.
So I walked out and left the seat on the counter.
When I got home I called the store directly and asked to speak to a manager. She tells me the same thing only in a nicer way. But what I don't understand is that they price match from other stores, I asked about this but won't price match from their own website. Seems really stupid to me, her explanation was that the online site buys everything in bulk at a wholesale price so they can offer cheaper prices but that the stores do not so they have to offer the higher price.
That just doesn't make sense to me. It's the same company don't all their products come from the same place.
Now I have a dilemma of sorts, I really want that seat before out trip next week. I could order it online for the cheaper price but I'd have to pay $50 to get it here by the time I leave. Or I can go to the store and pay the higher price for it or I can order it and pay a $1. to ship it. It will be waiting on us when we get home.
I feel like I am having a moral issue. I DO NOT want to buy it in Wal-Mart itself because I feel like they should honor their own prices. Especially in this economy if they want to keep customers they should be willing to do such things. It makes no sense that they will honor competitors prices but not their own. It looks like I will be buying that seat from Babiesrus and paying more for it because I just don't know if I can give in to Wal-Mart ripping people off and getting away with it.
What to do?

my thoughts on vaccinations (a reply to a recent comment)
So after much deliberation and thought I have decided to address something about a comment that was left here. Most often the comments are few and far between but I was so affected by a recent one left on my blog I feel like I have to address it.
This blog is a place for me to vent my frustrations as a mother and navy wife, to share with family and friends that don't live near us a little about what is going on in our daily lives. And sometimes I post things that I feel are important and I want to share with my readers. Not for my readers to take offense by them or to beat me up over them.
Most often when I do post something in reference to a particular subject I do the research before I post it. I don't just put something on here so I can seem ignorant about the particular subject matter.
This is where I get to the point of the issue that is bothering me.
Yesterday, when I suggested that you might find a certain post from a fellow blogger interesting. I mentioned before hand what is concerned. I didn't intend for it to be an opening for anyone to blatantly point a finger at me for my beliefs.
You see the main point of that post from the bloggers perspective was that the government should not be allowed to force parents to do anything for their children that they are not comfortable with because it's our right as American citizens/parents to have the freedom of choice we so deserve. It's what this country was founded on, it's why my husband willing serves his country every day. To uphold the constitution of the United States in which this country was founded upon, even when this government is beginning to forget those core beliefs.
And though some might disagree this is solely my opinion.
The main issue I feel parents that choose not to immunize their children have is NOT with the pharmaceutical companies it's because they believe that is what's best for their child. I assure you that a lot of these parents have spent a lot of time and energy into finding out about all the vaccinations, reactions, side effects, etc before making their decision. It's not something that they take lightly. While those pro vaccine might find those that are not for vaccinations ignorant. I find it ignorant that parents would just do what ever an MD said just because he went to school to be a doctor. That does not make him an expert on your child. He won't be the one to pay all the medical bills, or watch a once perfectly functioning child deteriorate into a none social, none functioning human, if the child is injured by the vaccine.
We did decide to not vaccinate our girls. Because after watching our 2 month old daughter have a reaction to one of her immunizations, and then be told by her pediatrician that it was NOT from the vaccine we felt it was in her best interest not to continue. The reaction happened within the 20 minutes you are told to wait to see if something like that does happen, So how could it not be?
So even though I choose not to immunize my children it doesn't mean that I sit on a pedestal and point my finger at those that do choose immunization. That is their right as that child's parent to make that choice. All I ask that is you don't blindly vaccinate, know the risks involved, ask questions and make informed decisions. And if the pros out way the cons for you then you made the right choice for your child. But don't beat me up for exercising my freedom of choice as a legal American citizen if I choose to go a different route.
And now I am stepping off my soap box.

politics.......
This is a topic I rarly discuss because it's such a debated issue. But last night we watched the Republican debate on CNN, I have been confused as to who I should give my vote to. After watching the debates last night I am a lot more clear on who I won't be giving my vote too.
I want to say that I was incredibably ashamed to watch Mitt Romney last night. He was evasive on some of his answers. He stumbled a lot. I can not believe that he was pro choice and would like to see gays serving in the military openly. Both of those issues go againsts some of the core Republican beliefs. Not only that but he is a member of the LDS church, as am I, those topics, pro choice, our church is strongly for pro life, and condons any homosexual acts. I was shocked to see his stance on those issues even though he said he his pro life now he was not in the past. That came from his own lips.
My main reason for even blogging about this is because I feel that we shouldn't vote for someone just because of their religious affilation, whether we agree with it or not. I feel that a lot of LDS members will vote for Romney because he is a member of their faith. I have struggled with this since finding out that Romeny was running for President. I felt like since he was LDS that was were my vote should go. However, it doesn't mean he is the right person for the job. As I now see that from watching the debates last nights.
I feel that we aren't going to agree with a canidate 100% on all his policies but we should vote for the one that we agree with 90% of the time.
And I wanted to just say that was not impressed with, Ron Paul. His ideas about the war are wrong. I think he's blowing a lot of smoke and just telling people what they want to hear.
Or Rudy Gulliani, I liked some of what he had to say but he won't get my vote.
John McCain has the best background when it comes to our military and leading them to victory.
I was extremely impressed with Mike Huckabee.
I also like Fred Thompson.
Right now I am not sure who I am voting for but I do know that I won't be voting for someone because of where they go to church. I'll vote for the person that I feel has the right ideas on getting this country back on it's feet.
My main concerns are, imigration, the war on terror, social security, my rights to bear arms, and taxes. While some of the other things are important these are the things I am going to look for as to whos policies I agree with on these issues.
How about you?

rude
If it weren't for the fact we were out of food I wouldn't have gone shopping. I have gotten to the point were I hate going grocery shopping. I use to like it but now that Aynslee is potty trained it's become a chore.
The place was packed not only was it pay day for the military Thanksgiving is next week. That's the reason I went to the commissary and not super WM. I wanted to get our turkey and ham and I knew it would be cheaper. It took me 10 minutes to find a parking spot then I finally had to park out in no mans land and walk about a half mile to get into the store.
I did my shopping fairly quick. I got the buggy that looks like a race car so the girls sat next to each other where normally Avery would sit alone. I did like that buggy compared to the bus of a one we usually have to get because Miss Aynslee insists. Anyway, the line to check out was backed up and as I was turning to get into line this older lady was asking someone if she was in line. I had noticed they weren't and started to get in line. This lady walks in front of me and motions for her husband that is behind me to cut me off and get in from of me. She then walks behind me and says come on and get in line were I was. He said no because I was in front of him. She was irriated and said he should go in front of me because she was there first. She talked about it just about the entire time we stood in line. Avery was fussy by the time we got in line and I had to carry her. I felt like turning around and telling her to go ahead and get in front of me since that one second really mattered to her. Other thoughts ran through my head as well not very nice ones as I wanted to cuss her out for being so rude and thinking her time was more important than everyone else's who was having to stand in line. I did hear her say why aren't those people moving when the line moves. They are holding everything up. But in my opinion when you wait 15 minutes to check out moving forward the second the cart in front of you moves doesn't make a big difference. It's still 15 mintues waiting to check out. I think I even heard this lady say something about, just because she has a baby doesn't mean she should be in front of us.
This is why I H-A-T-E shopping in there. I ask myself every week why for the last 7 years I go back. Because some of the prices are really good, we are on a limited budget and saving every penny counts. Deals I got today.
3 lb. bag of onions $.89.
Celery $.89
10lb Butterball Turkey $12.
Ham $11. after a $4.00 off coupon.
Next week I am going to conduct an experiment and do my weekly shopping at WM. However, I am not sure which is worse since I dispise going in that store too.
