Back to school

I made Sugar go back to school today. She didn't have a fever this morning. She has started coughing and a runny nose. I took her back to acute care on Weds. The dr said it was more than likely viral and to keep her home on Thurs. She didn't want to go to school but I made her. I told her if she felt sick to tell her teacher so he could call me. I'm sure she'll be fine. She's been ok during the day for the last 2 days. I hate her missing so much school.

Spice has been fine since Weds. It's weird how Sugar got hit harder with this with her fevers and Grandma has been down. She started to feel better yesterday. There's nothing we can do since whatever this is, is viral. I'm hearing from a lot of people that they've had the same thing or something similiar.

I have the windows open today. It's suppose to be in the high 70's. Keeping my fingers crossed that we can get the germs out and start to feel better.

Since my last appoinment 3 weeks ago I've lost 6 lbs, I'm sure my midwife won't fuss at me since she said I was over weight. It's just hard to find something to eat that I want or can keep down. I've been drinking a lot. My total weight gain as of today, 15 weeks 4 days is 4 lbs. I'm not suppose to go over 20. That leaves me with 16 lbs over the next 25 weeks.

Hope everyone has a great weekend!

Sometimes the best medicine is being lazy!

We stayed in our pj's all day long yesterday. It's amazing what a day of rest can do. I'm still not up to par but I'm a lot better than I was. Spice has started coughing and spitting stuff up. But we've been able to take the medicine every day and keep it down, huge plus!

Since we still have a little sickies we are staying home from church, it seems that most of the germs we get either come from school or church. We already have a weakened defense so I think staying home is the best idea. Besides that I'm looking forward to not going anywhere for 3 days, every now and then I just need a break from the constant running around. That's why on Friday even though I felt horrible I went grocery shopping so we wouldn't have to leave house for anything over the weekend.

I remember dreading the weekends when Chief deployed before having kids. Now I look forward to Saturdays when we don't have to be anywhere and can just stay home and do whatever we need or want to do. It gives us time to recop from the busy week and reconnect with each other. I think Sugar has come to love our Saturdays at home and request that we not go anywhere on Sat sometimes.

Hope everyone is having a great weekend!

We definitely are!

update on Avery

I took Avery in this morning to be checked. She did much better yesterday and last night. Only waking up once around five this morning but she was miserable and restless. So I had to put her back into her own bed to go back to sleep.

The dr thinks it is probably a virus of some kind since she did run a fever on Monday. Or it could be allergies we left with an inhaler to use at bedtime and in the middle of the night in case she wakes coughing.

She weighed in at 21.1 pounds and is 29 inches tall. She is a little thing. Aynslee weighed that at 12 months and was around 25 pounds by 18 months.

I'll keep everyone updated on how she is doing.

check up

To add insult to injury Avery has an ear infection too. So she is on antibiotic for 10 days. She is fine this morning, acting like her happy self and getting into every thing.

She weighs 19 pounds 9 ounces and is 28 and a half inches tall. I got fussed at about her weight and was told to feed her more protein. Nothing was said about starting her on cows milk. She is still nursing about twice a day and right before bed I give her a bottle of the Similac for babies 9-24months. It was a sample and we are almost out. I haven't decided what to do yet. I buy Soy milk for Aynslee which has added vitimins in it.

I ran a fever yesterday afternoon. It made my ears hurt. I called to get myself an appointment because my ears were hurting so badly but she told me to call back in the morning. I am feeling ok this morning.

Something funny. We had to pick up Avery's prescribtion.I wasn't feeling good and she was tired so I walked over to sit down while Josh waited in line to get a number. (hospital pharmacy) There was a lady sitting 3 chairs over from me. I coughed a few times while waiting for Josh. Avery looked like she didn't feel good. Then Josh comes over pushing the stroller with Aynslee who looked really sick and she gets up and walked away. I laughed to myself.
