Who is in your family?

In Aynslee's class this week they were learning about families. They were asked, "Who is in your family?" and to draw a picture of the people in their family. Aynslee drew her sister and this is what she told her teacher.............

"This is my sister Avery, she's always grouchy and she be's really naughty and she is bad and goes to time out when she hits someone, that's what she doos." Aynslee 4yrs Sept 2009

why do kids love bandades so much?

This morning Aynslee comes up to me and tells me something about her toe. So of course I look down to see what is wrong with it, she has some how skinned it. I take her to the bathroom to clean it up, it was bleeding a little, and to put a bandade on it. Her eyes light up when I mention the word bandade. I don't get it..... she was so excited about a bandade. You'd have thought I had told her we were going to Disney World. When we are all done she runs off and happily tells T she has a Mickey Mouse bandade. Now I"ll never be able to get the thing off.

make up

Aynslee has discovered make up. She likes to watch me put mine on when I am getting ready to go out. She likes to wear "lipstick."
I found this one morning. It was one of those times when she was to quiet.
She was very proud of herself.

This was another time she got into it. I showed her what she looked like. And she said, "Mommy you wash it off, please. " I guess she didn't like that color on herself.

So mommy has learned a lesson from all this. The make up is now kept on the top shelf on the linen closet in my bathroom. And I put one of those knob covers on the door for the bathroom. Just so we don't have any more make overs.

flushed away

Something funny from our day, Aynslee had a poop accident like every day. I take her into the bathroom to clean her up. As I am dunking the panies to clean them up they fall into the flushing toilet, bye bye Ariel panties. The look on her face was so funny as she realized what had happened. I am sure the look on mine was worth a few laughs too.

Let's just hope they don't come back to haunt us in a few weeks like ol' scoop.

when they are to quiet, take 3

First we notice she is to quiet.
Then I look down the hall and see this.
Then I see Aynslee sitting on top of the changing table
doing this.
Then this.

She was wiping her face with them then throwing them on the floor.
You might be thinking they are wipes.
No, they are those flushable moist wipes for those little messes
that toilet paper just won't get.
Did I mention it was a brand new package?

Notice the brown spots on her pillow case and in her bed.

this is what happens when they are to quiet, take 2

Last night I had put a movie on for Aynslee in her room, this usually works great she is quiet and happy.
I went in to turn the movie off and this is what I found.

Half of the 16 oz container of Butpaste everywhere.
She happily tells me, "Mommy I painting."

The good news is it came off of the table and bed rails without a problem.
The bad it's still in the carpet and there is a little hand print on the lamp shade.

Something funny

'Twas the night of Thanksgiving,But I just couldn't sleep.I tried counting backwards,I tried counting sheep. The leftovers beckoned-The dark meat and white,But I fought the temptationWith all of my might.Tossing and turningWith anticipationThe thought of a snackBecame infatuation. So I raced to the kitchen,Flung open the doorAnd gazed at the fridge,Full of goodies galore!I gobbled up turkeyAnd buttered potatoes,Pickles and carrots,Beans and tomatoes.I felt myself swellingSo plump and so round,'Til all of a suddenI rose off the ground!I crashed through the ceiling,Floating into the skyWith a mouthful of puddingAnd a handful of pie.But I managed to yellAs I soared past the trees...Happy Eating to All!Pass the cranberries, please!May your stuffing be tastyMay your turkey be plump.May your potatoes 'n gravyHave nary a lump.May your yams be delicious,May your pies take the prize.May your Thanksgiving dinnerStay off of your thighs!Happy Thanksgiving to
You and yours

a frog...............

I was giving Avery had bath last night. We finished up and I did the plug to let the water out. Then I see this thing in the water and I am trying to hurry and grab the baby out of the water so what ever it is doesn't touch her all the while screaming.

It was a frog. Josh and I had discussion on this the other day. He insisted that things like frogs or even snakes can't get up the drain pipes and come in through toliets or tubs. When I was young I would see them in the bathroom usually in the toliet.

He caught it and put it back outside. Hopefully we wont' be seeing him or any of his relatives anytime soon.
