My lead foot got me in trouble today.
I was pulled over coming home from picking Sugar up from school. This is only my second ticket EVER. And first one I've gotten since DH and I have been married, almost 10yrs.
I'm just mad at myself cause I know better. When the officer came to my window and I handed him the require info, he asked if there was a reason I was going so fast. I told him, "No there wasn't."
Hopefully this will help me slow down.

my baby girl
Is sick!
Poor thing has a cold, I feel bad for her.
She is acting like her chipper self.
I tried to keep the germs away so they'd be well for Christmas.
They were both sick last year the week before.
Hopefully she will be better tomorrow.
We are suppose to pick up our pictures today.
At noon, of all times.
I have some other stuff to do just trying to figure out how to get it all done.
A book had on hold for Josh is in, I'd like to go get it for since he isn't currently reading anything.
But the library were it's being held doesn't open til noon.
How am I suppose to get everything done and still be home to get Josh up at noon and get us lunch and his dinner packed for work?
Arggg!
And on top of that it's cold out and I don't want Avery out in it to make her any worse.
But I have things to do!
I am sure I'll figure it all out.
I'll post the pictures later.

a bit unorganized
So we are going on a camping trip this weekend. We haven't been since Aynslee was close to one. Josh wanted to go all year last year but I didn't feel up to it with 2 little kids. Although now that we have made plans to go, prepaid for our site and gotten a few new bits of camping gear. I am wondering if we haven't set ourselves up for something unpleasant.
Avery is a mover. Always into something and has to be busy. Most often the confines of the pack and play don't work because she screams to be taken out. Not sure our fellow campers want to listen to her scream the entire weekend. Then we have the other issue of sleep. Her new thing is waking up around five am or around six and refusing to go back to sleep. She sleeps a good 9 hours and naps decent most days. But the early rising is getting mommy. I appreciate sleep and I rarly get any lately. Honestly I haven't had a good nights sleep in about 2 years 10 months or so but whos counting. Without my trusted rocking chair I won't be able to trick her back into sleep so we are probably going to have a few very early mornings over the weekend. She CAN NOT sleep with anyone. She has to be laid down and fall asleep on her. While this is very good for us while at home. It's hard. If Aynslee gets up in the middle of the night all we have to do is lay down with her and she out. Avery wakes up and wants to play. This should be interesting......
Onto to the unorganzied situation, typically by now I would have everything ready to go. The only thing ready to go is the girls bag I packed yesterday. Not a single peice of camp gear, clothing, bedding or tolietries has been packed for Josh or I. The bad thing it's all got to be done tomorrow night so it can be loaded on the trailer for us to leave on Friday. You are probably thinking that I have plenty of time to do it all tomorrow. You'd be wrong, I have grocery shopping to do for the trip tomorrow. I dont' like being so scattered brained but since having children nothing, no amount of organization works. I have tried it, it just doesn't stick and everything ends up a mess.
So if you don't hear from me for a few days it's because we should be in the woods enjoying a nice quiet weekend of family bonding. And a little sun at the beach. That is if I can manage to get everything packed for us to leave.
Update on Aynslee: I don't know what it was maybe a virus of some kind. She is feeling better and no more projectile episodes.

we've been hanging out at home
We have not been anywhere in 3 days. I am trying to conserve gas since the prices are at a constant rise. Really it's been nice not having to get kids dressed and dragging them out the door. We have a nice routine when we are at home, naps, playtime, outside, etc.
I got Aynslee a little Preschool book. She asks all the time if she can go to school. I found one at Office Max that I really liked. IT had colors in it. We serious need some work on our colors. She knows a few without question but most often gets confused with most of the others. She loves to sit down and have "school." Since we are skipping 3yr old prek in the fall. I figured she'd enjoy this we only sit down if she wants and there is no pressure. If it ever becomes a big deal we'll stop. I have never wanted to be one of those parents that forces their kid to sit down and have structured learning time. She has 14 years of school for that plus college. If we stay here in the sunshine state they have a vpk 4 program and the state pays for that year of school.
So the orders situation doesn't look good for Josh, the area we are in is a very high priority place a lot of people want to be stationed here. Orders came up for Washington State which I was pretty excited about but with the housing market the way it is we weren't looking to move. But we have been talking about other ways we could do things if we had to, we really don't want to be seperated for 3 years of sea duty. And since geographical bachelor is no more in the Navy there is no way we could make it if Josh had to live in another state. We are still keeping are fingers crossed that something will open up for him here. But even if it does it's not a guarntee we can stay here, if he made Cheif this year those orders could be voided and he'd be stuck with whatever was open at the time. So he's been thinking of vulunteer for IA, which would mean a 12 to 18 month tour in Afganistain. It's not something we really want to do but with the way things are changing in the Navy he will have to go at some point, everyone will have to do 1 tour over there in the career. I was very worried about it but now I have let go of all that worry. I feel like we will be ok what ever direction we end up going. It's just a wait and see game. If only Josh could not worry about it so much then things would be ok.
I must close for now. We are going to Story Time this morning.

flushed away
Something funny from our day, Aynslee had a poop accident like every day. I take her into the bathroom to clean her up. As I am dunking the panies to clean them up they fall into the flushing toilet, bye bye Ariel panties. The look on her face was so funny as she realized what had happened. I am sure the look on mine was worth a few laughs too.
Let's just hope they don't come back to haunt us in a few weeks like ol' scoop.

slacking
I am blaming the rush and business of the holidays on my lack of post writing. It's probably better known as "life."
Well, our second night didn't go so well with the new sleeping arrangments. She slept for 4 hours and woke up. I thought I'd try to skip that nursing session and just rock her back to sleep. She gets to upset to let her "cry it out." I am not a big fan of that anyway. We were up for an hour then she was awake 2 more times screaming by 2:45am. That's when I decided to just put her in bed with us so I could get some sleep.
However; that wasn't the plan Aynslee had she was up at 5:30am. Usually she will go back to sleep but she wasn't having it. I ended up getting about 4 hours of sleep since Josh's alarm kept me awak from about 4:30am until Avery woke up at 7:00am for the day. They did let me get a nice hour and a half nap. Aynslee slept for about 3 hours and Avery for 2 yesterday afternoon.
They both went to bed at the same time last night and it worked out well. So far the room sharing is going well. It better because it will be that way for a long time. That's what's nice about 2 girls so close together.
We have a playgroup cookie making party tomorrow morning and our playgroup Christmas party sat night. I am looking forward to it. The kids exchanged names and Santa will be there.
I need to get some stuff done since I was lazy yesterday. The only thing I did manage to get done was a shower and dinner last night.

grouchy girls
I should have known that today wasn't a great day to go grocery shopping. Seeing how Aynslee was so ill from the time she woke up. But we needed a few things and since we are having company coming in on Thurs. I wanted to stay in tomorrow to finished getting things done around the house.
She took me to the bathroom twice telling me she has to go potty but didn't go. That aggrevates me to no end because I have Avery to try to hold while putting Aynslee on the potty, etc. I was so glad to be done shopping and get home. She was tired and fell asleep on the way home. She is still napping now.
Avery has been grouchy too. I just think that's from teething. However; I noticed her nose was a little runny so maybe she is trying to get a cold.
That's about it around here.
Anything exciting going on with ya'll?

a frog...............
I was giving Avery had bath last night. We finished up and I did the plug to let the water out. Then I see this thing in the water and I am trying to hurry and grab the baby out of the water so what ever it is doesn't touch her all the while screaming.
It was a frog. Josh and I had discussion on this the other day. He insisted that things like frogs or even snakes can't get up the drain pipes and come in through toliets or tubs. When I was young I would see them in the bathroom usually in the toliet.
He caught it and put it back outside. Hopefully we wont' be seeing him or any of his relatives anytime soon.
