I'm still not use to seeing that year.
This is the time of year people make resolutions. I've been comtemplating which ones I will make. Out of all the ones I made last year I think I only stuck to one all year.
We have a lot of changes that will still be continuing to happen for us this year. Daddy is on seaduty which means even though he will return in a few months from being away for a year he will be getting ready to deploy again. However; we are still waiting on his written orders to come. Please pray that they will come soon. We need the orders to stay in the area and he's starting to get really worried that they have fallen through.
Something I learned from last year is that I need to ask for help. That if people offer to help to accept it. I can't do it all on my own and trying to is not good for me. Being a single parent is so much harder than I ever thought it would be.
It's time for us to start our day. Hope yours is great!

Happy New Year!
We spent a quiet New Year's Eve and New Year's Day at home.
New Year's Eve we had our tradition of Potato Pie, Sesame chicken wings and green salad.
New Year's Day we had the southern traditon of blackeyed peas, cornbread and greens. It was so yummy!
We just hung out at home watching movies all day.
I hope 2010 brings you all health, happiness and prosperity.

Resolutions
Ok so I am finally doing this. I have been thinking about my resolutions since the last week in December. I just hope that this year I can keep to them.
1. Stop buying toys for the girls just to buy them something. (I noticed right before Christmas that every time we went to the store Aynslee was asking for stuff. Then I realized that this was because of me and that I was over indulging them and that I needed to stop.)
2. Eat healthier
3. Do not buy any disposable diapers (my attempt to be more green, and I read something recently about all the toxic chemicals in the disposable diapers)
4. get organized
5. become better at reading my scriptures (this has always been hit and miss for me, I do really well for a while and then get off track)
This is all I have for now, I'll add to it as I think of other things.

Happy New Year!
We hope everyone had a wonderful and safe New Year's Eve.
We spent our's eating a nice dinner, gettng the girls in bed. Then settling in for a movie that I fell asleep watching. I know such a party animal.
Now we are waiting for Gran and Papa to get here for Christmas with them. The girls are so excited.
My resolutions are coming soon so keep checking back.

we've been hanging out at home
We have not been anywhere in 3 days. I am trying to conserve gas since the prices are at a constant rise. Really it's been nice not having to get kids dressed and dragging them out the door. We have a nice routine when we are at home, naps, playtime, outside, etc.
I got Aynslee a little Preschool book. She asks all the time if she can go to school. I found one at Office Max that I really liked. IT had colors in it. We serious need some work on our colors. She knows a few without question but most often gets confused with most of the others. She loves to sit down and have "school." Since we are skipping 3yr old prek in the fall. I figured she'd enjoy this we only sit down if she wants and there is no pressure. If it ever becomes a big deal we'll stop. I have never wanted to be one of those parents that forces their kid to sit down and have structured learning time. She has 14 years of school for that plus college. If we stay here in the sunshine state they have a vpk 4 program and the state pays for that year of school.
So the orders situation doesn't look good for Josh, the area we are in is a very high priority place a lot of people want to be stationed here. Orders came up for Washington State which I was pretty excited about but with the housing market the way it is we weren't looking to move. But we have been talking about other ways we could do things if we had to, we really don't want to be seperated for 3 years of sea duty. And since geographical bachelor is no more in the Navy there is no way we could make it if Josh had to live in another state. We are still keeping are fingers crossed that something will open up for him here. But even if it does it's not a guarntee we can stay here, if he made Cheif this year those orders could be voided and he'd be stuck with whatever was open at the time. So he's been thinking of vulunteer for IA, which would mean a 12 to 18 month tour in Afganistain. It's not something we really want to do but with the way things are changing in the Navy he will have to go at some point, everyone will have to do 1 tour over there in the career. I was very worried about it but now I have let go of all that worry. I feel like we will be ok what ever direction we end up going. It's just a wait and see game. If only Josh could not worry about it so much then things would be ok.
I must close for now. We are going to Story Time this morning.

Happy New Year!!!
Just wanted to wish every one a Happy New Year!!
Our evening consisted of a surf and turf dinner at home with the girls. It was very yummy. Josh did a great job grilling the steak and shrimp.
I tried to stay up until midnight but was falling asleep at 11:00pm.
We are making some changes in our house, I am afraid to write about it for fear it won't stick. So I'll post about it in about a week when we've had a good run of it.
I am still pondering my resolutions list for 2008.
Everyone be safe and have a great day!
